- Also known as Pearl Weed, it features delicate, small, bright green leaves arranged in whorls along thin stems. Its flexible stems can grow upright or creep along the substrate depending on light intensity. When allowed to grow densely, it creates a lush, highly textured appearance.

- Under optimal conditions with high light and CO2, this plant exhibits a very fast growth rate. In low-tech tanks without CO2, the growth is moderate but still steady. Frequent trimming is necessary to maintain its shape when grown in high-energy setups.

- Hemianthus glomeratus forms dense, bushy groups and can adapt to various substrate types, including inert gravel or sand. While it absorbs a significant portion of its nutrients directly from the water column, a nutrient-rich aqua soil will accelerate its growth and encourage more robust root development. A shallow substrate layer of about 3-5 cm is sufficient for its delicate roots to anchor securely. Providing root tabs in inert substrates can further support its lush, vibrant green foliage.

- Propagation is incredibly simple and is done by taking stem cuttings and replanting them into the substrate. Even small fragments left floating in the tank will quickly develop roots and new shoots. The cuttings should be planted slightly spaced apart to ensure light reaches the lower leaves.
