Species description

Geographical Origin and Habitat: Indo-Pacific reefs, from the African coast to Hawaii. Inhabits shallow, coral-rich slopes and rocky crevices.

Taxonomy and Morphology: Belongs to the subfamily Canthigasterinae. Small, robust body with a beak-like mouth. Grows to a maximum length of 9 cm.

Social Behavior: Territorial but generally peaceful with unrelated tankmates. May become aggressive toward conspecifics.
