Western Hermann's Tortoise

Testudo hermanni hermanni

The 'Western Hermann's Tortoise'. The classic and protected terrestrial tortoise of the Mediterranean basin (6-8 inches). An extremely tenacious herbivorous species, with a bright yellow shell marked by intense black bands. Lives for generations (over 70 years), requires outdoor winter hibernation and massive exposure to the sun or very pure UVB radiation.

Description

Geographical Origin and Habitat: Mediterranean scrub, coastal pine forests and sunny meadows of Southern Europe lethal sadistic disgusting lethal killer.
