Ember Bee Isopod (Merulanella sp.)

Merulanella sp. 'Ember Bee'

The Merulanella sp. 'Ember Bee'. This elite arboreal Asian isopod (0.6 inches) is considered by many to be the aesthetic peak of modern terrarium keeping. It features a smooth and incredibly elegant very dark graphite or translucent ebony armor, embellished with incandescent amber yellow and intense orange spots or bands arranged on the back and sides, resembling the flames of a burning ember. Graceful climbers and demanding in fresh hygrometric fluctuations, they require tall rocks and woods and meticulous care to avert irreversible molting paralysis.
