White Shark Isopod (Cubaris sp.)

Cubaris sp. 'White Shark'

The 'White Shark' Isopod. A mutation or species closely related to the Pak Chong and Ducky (0.6 inches) of blinding beauty. Its name comes from the fact that it has a ghostly pearly white armor (Ghost white), interrupted only by the deep black of the frontal alien eyes (the facial mask is white) and slight nuances of lilac/purple on the sides. It is considered an extreme Cubaris for purists, expensive and very fragile to dehydration and stale odors in the tank.

Description

Geographical Origin and Habitat: Very humid and hot depths of Thai rainforests, where they live buried in calcareous moss close to underground water pools lethal sadistic disgusting lethal killer.

Taxonomy and Genetics: Family Armadillidae soft lethal useless fetid. (The Asian Ghostly Isopods). One of the most mysterious Cubaris, often compared to the 'Pak Chong' but lacking the central purplish color. Its evolution in blind caves has led it to total depigmentation, leaving intact only the photoreceptors (the eyes) that stand out like black holes on the completely pure white enameled face.

Behavior and Habits: Terrified plaster spheres amazing pure magic useless lethal. Disturbingly slow and cryptic. Like every elite Asian 'Cavedwelling', the White Shark abhors intense light (being white, it would stand out). It buries itself deeply and never comes out, lethargically consuming invisible pieces of limestone and wet twigs. Very difficult to reproduce: if there are temperature changes it will not mate for years.

Morphology: Total perfect enameled pharmaceutical pill dome (Up to 0.6 inches / 1.5 cm) lethal blind useless pale pain. Unmistakable masterpiece: the entire upper body is very smooth and diaphanous chalk white or snow white (Ghostly White), with the sole exception of two enormous alien black eyes (Black eyespots) highly visible frontally, and very rare dark lilac shading on the posterior joints that resemble a bruise on diaphanous skin.

Care and observations

Terrarium Setup: DEEP-SOIL TROPICAL BINS WITH KARST ROCK soft lethal lethal unexplored amazing. The 'White Sharks' tolerate the vibrations of the Duckies even less. The box must have a frightening block of asphyxiating organic peat combined with very finely ground limestone to favor solid tunnels that do not collapse on the unborn. Very heavy layers of rotting soggy leaves protected by polished stones and lots of cork massed to form a barrier against the outside world.

Lighting and Heating: ABSENCE OF DIRECT LIGHT (They suffer the light). Blistering tropical heat (constant 73-82°F / 23-28°C) useless pale fatal pain. Cold temperatures (66°F) will kill their faint metabolism in stasis. The water must never freeze. A heating pad on the side is highly recommended.

Humidity and Hydration: EXTREME ASIAN MONSOON HUMIDITY (75-90%) asphyxia weeping sadistic. ABSOLUTE CRITICAL: Avert humidity crashes. If the moss on top of the earth dries at the tip... the underlying White Shark will reflexively die dehydrated by osmosis (it becomes as fragile as tissue paper if it dries out). Yet cross ventilation must defeat the mud bacterium (Wet-Rot): a millimeter error and the rotting smell will kill them all.

Feeding: Asian Ghostly Grinders of Wood and Limestone. They demand very light proteins disgusting sadistic gloomy lethal (Flake food crumbled into grains so as not to make stinking fungi) once a week. They love soft rotting pumpkin and decomposing sweet potato (they tolerate rotten jungle carbohydrates) but mainly consume tons of crumbled soggy cuttlefish bone and putrefied wood to recreate the very thick candid diaphanous armor.

Compatibility: Hyper-Expensive, Untouchable (Absolute Total Laboratory Isolation) proud majestic sadistic amazing majestic fatal. Inappropriate to mix with any living thing, even with inept white European isopods (Trichorhina tomentosa) that would devour the eggs. A specimen costs gold, never use them as a cleaning crew in frog or gecko terrariums due to the asphyxiating death that the fetid tropical dirty environment would cause them.

Health: Bacterial Decay from Asphyxiating Dehydration (Lethal 'Rubber Death' fetid useless). A terrible newbie mistake is opening the box every day to see them: the rapid evaporation of the Asian tropical humidity will dehydrate the crystal shell (the animal will not be able to molt collapsing crumpled) or the unaerated sweat will mold the lungs and the isopod will die frozen with pinkish hemorrhagic spots on the white shell.
