Lemon Blue Isopod (Cubaris sp.)

Cubaris sp. 'Lemon Blue'

The Cubaris 'Lemon Blue'. An amazing and very expensive Asian jewel (0.6 inches) that mixes a surreal coloration: the base carapace is tinged with an iridescent electric blue-gray or dark metallic blue, while the entire perimeter of the skirt and sometimes the dorsal bands explode in a blinding neon lemon yellow. It is a showcase and purist animal, very vulnerable to extreme thermo-hygrometric oscillations and immune collapses due to poor tropical ventilation.

Description

Geographical Origin and Habitat: Coasts covered with asphyxiating lush Asian vegetation and underground caves rich in limestone concretions and dripping stalactites in Thailand lethal sadistic disgusting lethal killer.

Taxonomy and Genetics: Family Armadillidae soft lethal useless fetid. (Asian Crystal Isopod). It belongs to the Cubaris complex not yet scientifically described. It seems that the Lemon Blue shares deep phylogenetic roots with the Jupiter and the Pak Chong due to the blunt shape and irregular bands, but its neon blue and yellow tones differentiate it radically placing it on an absolute commercial pedestal.

Behavior and Habits: Terrified cobalt and lemon crystals amazing pure magic useless lethal. Classic and frustrating behavior of the large Cubaris: massive intolerance to sunlight and vibrations. They live anchored to the damp lower sides of rocks and roots, devouring invisible lichens in the dark of the Asian night. An inexperienced breeder could uncover them suddenly, causing panic reactions and digestive arrest from stress.

Morphology: Total perfect enameled and very shiny dome (Up to 0.6 inches / 1.5 cm) lethal blind useless pale pain. A piece of living art: dark metallic blue-gray base, sometimes slate, sometimes bright indigo depending on the angle of light. The blazes on the edges and sometimes on the back are of a crazy and unreal fluorescent Lemon Yellow, similar to pure industrial paint or a lethal poison dart frog.

Care and observations

Terrarium Setup: DEEP-SOIL TROPICAL BINS WITH KARST ROCK soft lethal lethal unexplored amazing. Monastic set-up. Develop a deep mixed peaty-clayey bottom (3 inches) enriched with calcareous debris and porous crushed stone. Stack polished limestone rock (Hating the rough fibers of the wood for molting) protected by a lethal mat of live soggy sphagnum and fallen oak branches on which they graze.

Lighting and Heating: ABSENCE OF DIRECT LIGHT. Stable tropical cave heat (constant 73-82°F / 23-28°C) useless pale fatal pain. The cold and domestic wintering European thermals will block their ovarian rhythms asphyxiating them in a fatal lethargic coma (Frozen metabolism). Vital use of exact thermostats.

Humidity and Hydration: EXTREME ASIAN MONSOON (75-90%) asphyxia weeping sadistic. ABSOLUTE CRITICAL: Hygrometric management is economic life or death. The lower walls of the container must perpetually bead with pure humidity but without EVER creating pockets of fetid water in the ground where anaerobic bacteria will decimate the specimens causing fungal hemorrhagic pink spots on the pulmonary pleopods before drowning them.

Feeding: Meticulous Calcareous and Lichen Fungivores disgusting sadistic gloomy lethal. Provide micro-tastings of sweet rotting vegetable puree (carrot/pumpkin) and fish flake powder, being careful of the putrid killer mites attracted by protein excesses that infest sterile earth. They survive by scraping limestone (crushed cuttlefish bone) to support the luxury of the metallic lemon shell and devour asphyxiated white wood.

Compatibility: Hyper-Expensive for Elite Collection (Total Isolation) proud majestic sadistic amazing majestic fatal. Absolutely incompatible: no mixing with Trichorhina or other dominant isopods that would compete fiercely. Absolutely inept, slow and vulnerable to 1-inch saurians and geckos that would massacre hundreds of euros with three rapid bites asphyxiating the offspring in a humid terrarium.

Health: Asphyxiating Arrest of Keratin (Fetid Molt Failure useless). If the humidity stagnates lethally or the hygrometry plummets drying the pores: the blue enameled exoskeleton will get stuck in the dry liquids of the molt. The isopod will fall on its back or bend into a half moon in an agonizing asphyxiating paralysis, dying unable to break the armor in a few atrociously frozen hours.
