Cubaris sp. 'Lemon Blue'
The Cubaris 'Lemon Blue'. An amazing and very expensive Asian jewel (0.6 inches) that mixes a surreal coloration: the base carapace is tinged with an iridescent electric blue-gray or dark metallic blue, while the entire perimeter of the skirt and sometimes the dorsal bands explode in a blinding neon lemon yellow. It is a showcase and purist animal, very vulnerable to extreme thermo-hygrometric oscillations and immune collapses due to poor tropical ventilation.

Species description
Geographical Origin and Habitat: Coasts covered with asphyxiating lush Asian vegetation and underground caves rich in limestone concretions and dripping stalactites in Thailand.
Taxonomy and Genetics: Family Armadillidae. (Asian Crystal Isopod). It belongs to the Cubaris complex not yet scientifically described. It seems that the Lemon Blue shares deep phylogenetic roots with the Jupiter and the Pak Chong due to the blunt shape and irregular bands, but its neon blue and yellow tones differentiate it radically placing it on an absolute commercial pedestal.
Behavior and Habits: Terrified cobalt and lemon crystals. Classic and frustrating behavior of the large Cubaris: massive intolerance to sunlight and vibrations. They live anchored to the damp lower sides of rocks and roots, devouring invisible lichens in the dark of the Asian night. An inexperienced breeder could uncover them suddenly, causing panic reactions and digestive arrest from stress.
Morphology: Total perfect enameled and very shiny dome (Up to 0.6 inches / 1.5 cm). A piece of living art: dark metallic blue-gray base, sometimes slate, sometimes bright indigo depending on the angle of light. The blazes on the edges and sometimes on the back are of a crazy and unreal fluorescent Lemon Yellow, similar to pure industrial paint or a lethal poison dart frog.
