AA Aquarium traces its own origin to 1982, when Sealand Holdings Co., Ltd. established the brand; that date belongs to the parent structure and does not document the specific launch of GKM.

HydorItalyHydor was founded in 1984 in Bassano del Grappa by engineer Valerio Bresolin. The brand developed its own identity in Italian aquatics and later became part of Ferplast, a change that clearly separates its historical origin from its current ownership structure.

MarinaCanadaMarina is a long-standing Hagen Group brand. A US registration owned by Rolf C. Hagen (USA) Corp. claims first use for aquarium goods on 30 January 1982; this date concerns the Marina mark, whereas the Canadian parent was founded by Rolf C. Hagen in 1955.
MarinelandUnited StatesMarineland Aquarium Products grew from two histories. Robert Sherman acquired Aquarium Stock Company in Los Angeles in 1968; in 1970 his Aquaria, Inc. partnered with the oceanarium Marineland of the Pacific to develop filters, bubble wands and backgrounds for aquarium keepers.
