Hydor

Hydor was founded in 1984 in Bassano del Grappa by engineer Valerio Bresolin. The brand developed its own identity in Italian aquatics and later became part of Ferplast, a change that clearly separates its historical origin from its current ownership structure.

The catalogue covers circulation and return pumps, filters, heaters, skimmers, lighting and accessories for aquariums and ponds. Products such as Koralia pumps made flow management central to the brand, while other lines address filtration, temperature and maintenance for freshwater and marine systems.

Today the Hydor site identifies Ferplast S.p.A. as owner and data controller; the Castelgomberto address therefore belongs to the current proprietor rather than Hydor’s original Bassano del Grappa base. Ferplast retains Hydor as a specialist aquatic brand within a broader pet portfolio. Keeping the brand after the acquisition lets Ferplast pair its general aquarium range with an established specialist name in pumps and water movement.
