ISTA

Tzong Yang Aquarium grew from Wang Yi-Lang’s ornamental-fish farming activity started in Taiwan in 1985. A local business history places creation of ISTA about ten years later, so 1985 belongs to the origin of the enterprise rather than the exact launch of the brand.

ISTA specializes in planted aquariums and aquascaping through CO2 systems, diffusers and cylinders, fertilizers, substrates, lighting, filters, cooling, heating, tools and glass tanks. Tzong Yang also works as an ODM and OEM manufacturer for international brands, combining its own catalogue with contract production.

The company is based in Guiren, Tainan, and opened an ISTA branch in Guangzhou in September 2013 to develop distribution in China. Its later IIAC international contest demonstrates a connection with aquascaping culture that extends beyond the sale of equipment. Expertise in CO2 systems is supported by cylinder and component production, an area in which Tzong Yang has acted as an international supplier.
