Storr's Monitor

Varanus storri

The 'Storr's Monitor'. One of the easiest and most popular Australian monitors, along with the Ackie (V. acanthurus). Slightly smaller (16 inches), it shares the fascinating spiny tail and the love for underground tunnels. Hyperactive, very robust and with a furnace-like thermal need, it is perfect for those who want a pocket dinosaur.
