Eastern Indigo Snake

Drymarchon couperi

The 'Eastern Indigo Snake'. The most massive and imposing colubrid in North America (up to 8.5 feet and taurine musculature). Famous for its iridescent blue-black color and extraordinary intelligence. Relentless predator, it even feeds on rattlesnakes being immune to their venom. It has an accelerated metabolism that forces it to defecate often with terrible smells, requiring huge cages.
