Lighting and Heating: Being a nocturnal species, it does not require high-intensity lighting, but a regular 12-hour photoperiod should be provided. A low-output UVB source (such as 2.0 or 5.0) is recommended to promote vitamin D3 synthesis and support live plant growth. Daytime temperatures must be kept cool, ranging between 22°C and 26°C, with a localized basking spot not exceeding 28°C. At night, a drop to 18-21°C is essential to replicate the natural temperature fluctuations of high-altitude montane habitats.
Humidity and Hydration: Relative humidity must be kept consistently high, ideally maintained between 75% and 90% during the day, and approaching 100% at night.
