The streamON+ 5000, EHEIM type 1082, belongs to the earlier 2000/4000/5000 generation. EHEIM still lists it in official spare-parts documents, while current technical pages present 3500/6500/9500 as the active range. Flow, power, dimensions and tank volume were therefore not copied from the dossier: those figures were not reconfirmed in a direct official technical sheet.

The streamON+ 5000 retains the earlier family’s basic arrangement: a submerged body with impeller and regulator, an aimable bracket and magnetic fixing through the pane. Official spare documentation identifies these assemblies, but it does not justify transferring performance or instructions from the current series. Identity and limitations must remain tied to the label on the individual unit.

It remains a circulation pump intended to organise water movement in freshwater or marine aquariums. This profile is useful to existing owners who need to identify, position and service the unit. For a new purchase, distinguish it from the current series and check availability, mains frequency and the exact component number.

Assessment of a legacy model should focus on impeller condition, holder integrity, availability of the correct parts and cable condition. Selection cannot be rebuilt from unverified figures. It is more useful to establish whether real-tank circulation is sufficient and adjustable without vibration, substrate displacement or constant pressure on livestock.

The official exploded view confirms an impeller, a pump housing with output regulator, a bracket and a magnetic holder with cushions. Output is mechanically adjustable and the bracket lets the user aim the flow. These are practical controls, but their effect still depends on placement and the aquarium layout.

The regulator changes output mechanically and the bracket changes direction. Make these adjustments gradually and observe the whole aquarium after each intervention. If one area stays still, merely increasing output may produce an excessive jet elsewhere; a small change in angle or location can often distribute movement more effectively.

EHEIM states 6–12 mm glass for this legacy model. Type 1082 uses magnetic holder 4010810 and 50 Hz impeller 7448358; compare type, frequency and version before ordering. Parts for the 3500/6500/9500 generation are listed separately and should not be selected by appearance alone.

Fit the submerged pump to the pane with the magnet halves aligned, then aim the outlet while observing the whole tank. Useful circulation moves water without constantly lifting substrate or striking one animal in the same place. After repositioning, check that the holder is stable and that the cable is not under tension.

The magnet must support the pump without slipping or placing improper pressure on the pane. Align both halves slowly, leave clear space around the openings and route the cable without tension or forced bends. After startup, check stability, sound and vibration; a sudden change should prompt inspection rather than compensation through a higher setting.
