The choice between the standalone configuration and the Four Pack is mainly a matter of system layout rather than a change in pumping principle. A standalone unit suits one liquid path or an installation that may be expanded gradually. The Four Pack groups several independent liquid paths on the Base Station, making power distribution and physical organization more compact while leaving each pump separately configured. In both cases, the aquarist still decides what liquid is used, where it is discharged, and which program is appropriate.

Calibration is a measurement step, not a permanent property of the product. Repeat it when the working liquid, tubing arrangement or tube cartridge changes, because those elements can alter the relationship between commanded and collected volume. During routine inspection, check the cartridge, connectors and line routing for visible wear, loosening or deformation. Maintenance is easier when changes are made one fluid path at a time and the corresponding Mobius configuration is confirmed before returning that pump to its schedule. The approved sources do not establish a universal fixed replacement interval, so inspection and the manufacturer’s replacement procedure take priority over an invented calendar.
