Fluval

Fluval launched in 1975 with a three-stage filter driven by a synchronized motor. It is a brand of the Hagen Group, the Canadian family business founded by Rolf C. Hagen in 1955; the two dates describe different events, namely the creation of the group and the arrival of the specific Fluval line.

From its filtration origins, Fluval developed a complete product system covering aquariums and cabinets, internal and external filters, lighting, heaters, pumps, nutrition and water care. Its lines serve freshwater and marine keeping and range from beginner kits to modular equipment for more complex installations.

The associated legal entity is Rolf C. Hagen Inc., headquartered in Baie-D’Urfé, Quebec. Fluval operates as a group brand rather than a stand-alone company; the Hagen family remains identified with the business, while the parent network supports manufacturing, distribution and service across many markets.
