Aqua Medic

Aqua Medic is a German manufacturer established in 1987 as AB Aqua Medic GmbH. Its first work served commercial marine aquaculture, including filtration for lobsters, oysters and other organisms, recirculating systems and public-aquarium installations. In 1992 the company began transferring that experience into complete systems, equipment and accessories for aquarium keepers and large projects. Current headquarters are in Bissendorf, Lower Saxony.

The catalogue covers protein skimmers, circulation and return pumps, dosing systems, reactors, filters, lighting, chillers, reverse-osmosis equipment and water-monitoring tools. Marine and reef systems occupy a central part of the offer, while freshwater equipment is also represented. The availability of components, spare parts and modular devices reflects the role of a technical equipment supplier rather than a business limited to consumables.

The Life Support Systems division designs custom installations for aquaculture, public aquariums and professional projects. Production, warehousing and preassembly in Bissendorf allow circuits and components to be checked before delivery. Aqua Medic distributes through specialist trade in many countries and keeps consumer devices and large-scale systems in the same portfolio, preserving the technical link with water treatment from which the business developed.
