Pinholes and Marginal Necrosis

The classic signs include small, circular pinholes appearing in older leaves. Unlike physical snail damage, these holes are rimmed with dark, dead (necrotic) tissue. As the deficiency progresses, the margins (edges) of the older leaves turn yellow (chlorosis) and eventually dry out and die off, leaving the stem completely bare at the bottom (legginess).
