The Hottentotta judaicus, the famous 'Judean Black Scorpion'. It is one of the most fascinating and widespread lethal scorpions in the Middle East. Of robust size for a Buthid (reaches 2.7-3.5 inches), it exhibits a terrifying and austere totally Coal Black or very Dark Brown coloring, with sturdy metasomal segments and a powerful sting. It shares the lethal habitat with the yellow 'Deathstalker' (Leiurus), but occupies the dark and nocturnal ecological niche of ruins and stones. Possesses a severe neurotoxic venom (clinical medical danger), although slightly inferior to the Leiurus. Arid and hyper-defensive, it is intended exclusively for collectors of 'Hot species' willing to maintain strict rules of isolation and safety (long tweezers and armored cases).
