ReefDose Tube Organizer
ReefDose Tube Organizer is Red Sea’s three-clip accessory for keeping external ReefDose lines separated, traceable and supported along a planned cabinet route.
Overview
Red Sea lists this accessory as ReefDose Tube organizer clip, supplied as 3 units, with spare-part identifier R35354. It appears in the official ReefDose accessory and support material for both ReefDose 2 and ReefDose 4. Its purpose in this profile is deliberately narrow: guide and separate external dosing tubes so that their paths remain readable. A clip does not pump, seal a hose barb, identify a supplement by itself or hold the dosing outlet at the sump. Treating the organizer as a routing aid prevents unsupported expectations. Red Sea does not publish a universal claim for every cabinet surface, tube material or third-party dosing system, so those broader applications are excluded.
Intended use
The documented context is a ReefDose installation using flexible tubing connected to the dosing-head hose barbs. Red Sea specifies approximately 3 mm internal and 5 mm external tubing diameter at those barbs and recommends highly air-impermeable tubing such as its TPE tubing. The organizer should be considered within that system context, not as evidence that any tube with a similar appearance will fit or dose accurately. Plan the number and position of clips around the actual line path. ReefDose 2 and ReefDose 4 have different head counts, yet the routing principle is the same: each inlet must remain associated with its supplement container and each outlet with its intended delivery point.
Exact compatibility
Before fixing clips, place the pump, containers and outlet holder in their working positions and trace each complete route. Choose points that support the tubing without forcing a tight bend or loading the pump’s connectors. Keep the organizer clear of cabinet hinges, sliding panels and areas that become wet during normal service. Fit the lines so they can be removed for head service without tearing the route apart. The reviewed Red Sea material confirms a set of 3 clips but does not provide an official spacing formula or a universal adhesive method. For that reason, mounting details must follow the physical instructions supplied with the accessory and the condition of the chosen surface, rather than an invented distance.
Installation
Use the organizers to create a path that can be inspected from container to head and from head to outlet. Red Sea identifies the left hose barb as the inlet and the right hose barb as the outlet, while the outlet end should be secured in a suitable position above the sump. Do not let a clip reverse that logic, cross lines invisibly or pull an outlet out of its holder. If ReefDose rests on its bottom surface, the manual says its tubes must remain unrestricted; the same principle applies around each organizer. Gentle changes of direction are preferable to compressed bends. Leave service slack near the head and container, while keeping long loose loops away from moving doors and equipment.
Routing and commissioning
A neat organizer layout supports commissioning but does not replace priming and calibration. After routing, prime the selected ReefDose head until liquid reaches the end of its outlet tube, then calibrate that head for the actual supplement using the Red Sea procedure. Check that no clip squeezes the tubing, that the color or label remains visible and that the line reaching the measuring cylinder is the intended one. When changing a supplement, Red Sea requires the relevant head to be set up and calibrated for that supplement. Review the whole route at the same time. A visually tidy group of tubes can still contain a crossed connection, so trace every line physically before enabling an automatic schedule.
Maintenance
During maintenance, wipe accessible clips and surrounding surfaces, then inspect for salt deposits, supplement residue, loosening, cracks and abrasion where a tube enters or leaves a guide. Disconnect or pause dosing as appropriate before moving lines. Do not use the clip as a lever against the head fitting and do not pull a group of tubes simultaneously when only one channel needs service. The official material does not state a fixed replacement interval for the organizer, so condition should drive replacement rather than an invented calendar. After any clip or tube is moved, confirm that every inlet and outlet follows its recorded channel, then prime or verify delivery when air or disconnection may have occurred.
