ONF began in Taiwan in 2015 to develop lighting that combines the biological needs of plants with the visual quality of interior spaces. Its Traditional Chinese page identifies the company 光之間股份有限公司 and registration number but does not publish the name of a founder.

The lines include smart lamps for planted aquariums, lighting for terrestrial plants, and mounting and control accessories. Design work addresses spectrum, colour rendering, light distribution and integration with interiors, connecting aquascaping, cultivation and product design.

The published headquarters is in Xinzhuang, New Taipei City. ONF operates as a Taiwanese brand with international distribution and communication strongly focused on the relationship between light and plant growth; the Chinese legal name represents the registered entity behind the separate ONF trading identity. App control in selected families allows intensity and daily cycles to be programmed without adding external timers.
