Ferplast

Ferplast began in 1966 in Castelgomberto, near Vicenza, when Carlo Vaccari and his sister Caterina started making bird cages by hand. The business expanded beyond that first segment and explicitly entered aquariums in 2004, so 1966 belongs to the company’s history while its aquarium range is substantially newer.

For aquatic keeping, Ferplast offers complete tanks, cabinets, filters, pumps, heaters, lighting and maintenance accessories, alongside pond products. That range sits within a much broader catalogue for dogs, cats, birds, small animals and reptiles, reflecting the move from a specialized workshop to a multi-category pet manufacturer.

Ferplast S.p.A. remains headquartered at Via 1° Maggio 5 in Castelgomberto. Its official history describes a family-origin business that developed international manufacturing and distribution; Hydor is now one of the aquarium brands within the group, while Ferplast itself continues to cover the wider pet sector. Its official network includes subsidiaries and logistics operations outside Italy, developed to serve distributors and retailers directly in major markets.
