Aqueon

Aqueon emerged in 2006 as an aquatic brand of Central Garden & Pet Company. The project brought together products and expertise that included All-Glass Aquarium, acquired by Central in 2000, and began a visible retail transition to the new name during 2007. Aqueon is operated by the Central Aquatics division in Franklin, Wisconsin, alongside other aquarium activities in the group.

The range includes glass aquariums, complete kits, QuietFlow and SmartClean filters, cartridges, lighting, heaters, pumps, fish food, conditioners, tests and cleaning or setup accessories. A substantial part of the offer is designed as a coordinated pathway for starting a home aquarium, with equipment, consumables and replacement items distributed under one brand.

Aqueon represents corporate portfolio development rather than a startup tied to one individual. Central Garden & Pet retains ownership and corporate responsibility, while Central Aquatics coordinates products, support and distribution. The All-Glass inheritance remains visible in the importance of tanks and kits, but Aqueon expanded into routine maintenance, water treatment and food, creating a complete system for the North American market.
