Amtra

Amtra began in 1986 within Aquarium Glaser through the initiative of Ulrich Glaser. Experience importing and acclimating ornamental fish led to bacteria, water treatments and food first used in professional operations. Those solutions became the commercial base of a German brand serving specialist retailers as well as aquarium keepers.

The range covers water conditioning, fish food, filter media, aquariums, pumps, lighting, heating and accessories for freshwater, marine and pond use. That breadth reflects a move from a line associated mainly with biological water management to a general setup and maintenance offer. Categories also include natural foods, decoration and technical components distributed through the European specialist trade.

In 2010 Amtra joined Croci to form Amtra Croci GmbH, connecting the German operation with an Italian pet-products group. In 2024 Croci and Camon completed a further integration under Camon & Croci Pet Group S.p.A., with its registered office in Milan and Amtra activity in Castronno. The brand retains its aquatic origin and Ulrich Glaser story while now operating inside a portfolio spanning accessories and products for several companion-animal categories.
